Kesar Mango
Taste: Sweet with a mild tang
Aroma: Strong, saffron-like fragrance (that’s why it’s called Kesar)
Texture: Smooth, less fibrous, juicy pulp
Best use: Juice, pulp, desserts, milkshakes
Dasheri Mango
Taste: Very sweet, honey-like flavor, low acidity
Aroma: Pleasant but lighter than Kesar
Texture: Very soft, almost fiberless
Best use: Eating fresh (very popular as a table mango)
Amrapali Mango
Tree Size & Growth: It is a dwarf variety with a compact canopy, making it highly suitable for high-density
farming and home container gardening.
Fruiting: Unlike many traditional varieties that fruit every other year, Amrapali is a regular bearer. Grafted
plants typically begin producing fruit in just 3 to 4 years.
Fruit Appearance: Medium-sized with a high pulp-to-seed ratio. The skin ripens to a reddish-yellow, while
the flesh inside is a vibrant, deep orange-red.
Flavor & Texture: It is intensely sweet, fiberless, and features a rich, honey-like aroma with hints of citrus.
Nutrition: It contains 2.5 to 3 times more \(\beta \)-carotene than most commercial mango varieties,
making it exceptionally high in Vitamin A.
